A digital seminar

Sometimes you're not about to make a point. Those are the creative moments.

My name is Dr. Hartwig von Schubert, protestant theologian, * 1954. I got the idea to open this digital seminar in the summer 2016 at the end of my seminar "Religious Pluralism And Secular Law" at the University of Hamburg, faculty on humanities.

That seminar with more than 50 students has brought me so much joy. Why then not offer an online seminar for everybody even beyond academic circles? Let's see, what will happen..

About the year 388 BC Platon bought an olive grove dedicated to the athenian heros Akademos called Akademeia (ancient greek: Ἀκαδήμεια / Ἑκαδήμεια). There he started his teachings, and from that place all academies of the world to this day inherit their name. This digital seminar is supposed to become such a place also, at least one of the smaller classrooms in it.
